Van Mark Brakes & Tools in New Jersey

Van Mark makes portable siding and trim brakes, coil slitters and cutting tables. It is the largest tool brand in our catalog, from the Trim-A-Brake II to the Industrial Metal Master, with the stands, knives and parts that go with them.

Why we carry Van Mark

Choosing a Van Mark brake

Start with the metal. The Mark I, Mark II and Metal Master 20 are built for light-gauge aluminum trim coil. The Mark IV Industrial TrimMaster and Industrial Metal Master handle painted steel, roofing steel, copper and zinc. Then pick the throat: 14 inches on most models, 20 inches on the Metal Master 20 for wide pieces. Last, pick the length. A 10’6″ brake is the usual all-round choice.

The siding and trim brakes page compares the families side by side. Add a stand or legs from brake stands and add-ons.

Parts and service

Bring the model and serial number when you need parts. Slitter knives, perforating rolls and the tune-up kit are in the catalog. For anything else, send us a photo of the part and we’ll check what we can get.

Questions

Is Van Mark a good first brake for a new crew?

Yes. A Mark I or Mark II in 10’6″ covers most residential trim work in aluminum. You can add a slitter and a cutting table later.

Can a Van Mark brake bend 24 gauge painted steel?

Use an industrial model for painted steel. Check the rated capacity on the product page against your coil before you buy.

Do you sell Van Mark slitters separately?

Yes. Trim-A-Slitter models and Industrial Series slitters are listed on their own, along with power packages and replacement knives.

Can I pick up a Van Mark brake today?

If it shows in stock, yes, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Call first to confirm the length you want is on the floor.

Pair the brake with trim coil from our coil and sheet stock, in colors from the metal roofing color chart.
