The 48″ Trim-A-Slitter is the longest slitter in Van Mark’s Trim-A-Slitter range, built on a 2″ arbor and supplied with two booster blocks (model S48CB). It is for roofing and sheet metal contractors who cut 48″ sheet or wide master coil down to flashing, trim and panel-accessory widths.

With 48″ of arbor you can set several cuts across a full sheet and slit it in one feed. The four standard knives give two cuts per pass; each extra cut needs another upper and lower knife. The two booster blocks support the arbors from below to increase slitting capacity across the long span.

The slitter also ribs and perforates. Set the knives to roll a raised rib that stiffens wide fascia and adds a shadow line, or add a perforator die set to punch lanced vents of about 3.3 square inches of net free area per running foot. Brass-tipped set screws hold the knives without scoring the arbor, the tape rule makes width setting quick, and the feed table folds for transport. It runs by hand, or with an optional Van Mark motor; Van Mark requires a heavy-duty motor to perforate steel.

Van Mark slitting capacity: .040″ 3003-H14 aluminum, 24 gauge galvanized or painted steel, 24 oz copper and .040″ zinc. Van Mark lists the S48CB at 131 lb.
