About this product
The Industrial Slitter Combo (Van Mark model SCI48) is a complete motorized slitting station for metal roofing, metal building and commercial glazing contractors. It slits master coils or 48″-wide flat stock to exact widths, on the job or in the shop, so you can cut trim and flashing blanks from the coil you already stock instead of ordering pre-slit widths.
The package is ready to work. Van Mark includes a 110-volt motor that feeds at about 32 feet per minute, a UniStand EZ mobile stand, and a 6-foot exit table with rollers that carries the slit sheet off the slitter. The slitter and motor lift off as one assembly, so the combo can go from jobsite to stationary use, and T-knobs and fast pins let it break down quickly for transport.
Four hardened, double-sided steel knives come standard, giving two cuts per pass; add knife pairs for more cuts. The knives are precision ground for burr-free edges and set in seconds with easy-access screws. Adjustable feed guides with aluminum rollers square the sheet, and booster blocks help keep the shafts aligned. The arbor is 2″ and the combo weighs 265 lb.
Van Mark slitting capacity: .040″ 3003-H14 aluminum, 24 gauge galvanized or Grade D painted steel, 24 oz copper and .040″ zinc. Spare Slitter Knives for C Models fit its 2″ arbor. It is available from our New Brunswick, NJ warehouse; call (732) 561-4275 to check stock, or add it to your quote.

How many cuts per pass?
The four standard knives give two cuts per pass. Each extra cut needs two more knives, one upper and one lower.
Can it perforate?
With an optional perforator die set and the heavy-duty motor upgrade, Van Mark says it perforates up to .032" aluminum, copper and 24 to 29 gauge painted steel.
