About this product
The 36″ Trim-A-Slitter is the middle size of Van Mark’s heavy-duty slitters, built on a 2″ arbor (C model, S36C). It suits contractors who slit wider stock than standard 24″ trim coil, such as 36″ sheet, and who want one tool that cuts, ribs and perforates.
Common jobs include slitting wide coil into flashing, drip edge and trim blanks, cutting sheet down for gutter aprons and wall flashings, and rolling stiffening ribs into wide fascia so it lies flat without ripples. With an optional perforator die set, it punches lanced vents with about 3.3 square inches of net free area per running foot, for vented soffit and Z-bar.

Van Mark rates its Trim-A-Slitter for .040″ 3003-H14 aluminum, 24 gauge galvanized or painted steel, 24 oz copper and .040″ zinc when slitting, and .032″ aluminum when perforating. Van Mark lists the S36C at 103 lb and recommends two booster blocks under the arbors on its 36″ slitter for more slitting capacity. Do I need booster blocks?
Van Mark recommends two 3578 booster blocks under the arbors of its 2" arbor 24", 36" and 48" slitters to increase slitting capacity.
Can I add a motor later?
Yes. Remove the hand crank, fit the drive coupler and add a Van Mark motor kit; all of Van Mark's slitter motor kits fit all its slitters.
