About this product
The Trim-A-Gutter is Van Mark’s gutter hood forming tool. Gutter and exterior contractors use it to make leaf-shedding gutter hoods on the job from the same aluminum trim coil or gutter coil they already carry, in the color and length each house needs.
The tool forms hoods in industry-standard 4-foot lengths, and Van Mark lists a 50-inch rolling capacity so pieces can overlap. It works with .019″, .024″, .027″ and .032″ gutter and trim coil. A self-indexing hinge measures a 1/2″ bend, and a reinforcement clip helps keep a consistent radius in heavier material. The anodized finish holds up to job-site weather.
Van Mark’s Trim-A-Gutter system is meant for 5″ and 6″ K-style gutters, new or existing, on roofs with a pitch of 3/12 or steeper. Hoods can be fascia-mounted or roof-mounted, in dome or low-profile shapes. Water follows the hood’s curve into the gutter while leaves fall to the ground. Slate, tile, shake and metal roofs may need modifications by a roofing or gutter professional.
The UniMount hardware comes with the tool and mounts it on any Van Mark brake. If you do not own one, it mounts on its own on a Van Mark UniLeg. Van Mark sells the hood brackets, anchors and clips separately; ask us about them when you order.
