About this product
The 115-volt heavy-duty power package is Van Mark’s heavy-duty slitter motor kit, model 3535. It is the motor to buy if your Trim-A-Slitter will perforate steel, because Van Mark requires a heavy-duty motor for that work. It also suits shops that slit painted steel all day and want more torque than the standard kit.
Van Mark specifies it at 115 volts, single phase, 60 Hz, so it runs on normal US power, with a feed rate of about 35 feet per minute against roughly 32 for the standard kit. The kit includes the coupling and mounting hardware. Installation swaps the slitter’s hand crank for a drive coupler and motor base, and Van Mark lists the kit as fitting all of its slitters.
Typical jobs for a heavy-duty setup:
- Perforating vented soffit, Z-bar and ridge vent stock in 24 gauge steel or .032″ aluminum
- Long slitting runs in 24 gauge painted steel
- Combined slit-and-rib setups that load the arbor more
Van Mark’s Perf Combo describes its heavy-duty motor as reversible, with an oil-bath, gear-reduction drive. For hands-free switching, add the Trim-A-Slitter HD Foot Pedal; for perforating, add the Slitter Perf Stripper so coated metal releases from the dies. It is available from our New Brunswick, NJ warehouse; call (732) 561-4275 to check stock, or add it to your quote.

Questions
Do I need the HD motor?
If you perforate steel, yes: Van Mark requires a heavy-duty motor for that. For slitting and rib forming only, the standard motor is enough.
Will it run on a regular outlet?
Van Mark rates it for 115V single-phase 60 Hz power, standard US jobsite and shop power. Check the circuit rating with an electrician if you are unsure.
