The Trim-A-Brake II is Van Mark’s entry-level bending brake, based on the company’s original 1964 design and aimed at window installers, remodelers and do-it-yourselfers who need basic shapes for trim repair or new installations. The T450 is the 4’6″ model, and at 40 lb it is the size most often carried to small jobs, porches and window wraps.

Clamping is by a toggle-lock system with single-point adjustment, worked by an easy locking handle. A full loop bending handle bends evenly along the whole piece, material stops let you repeat a bend without measuring again, and hinge pockets help protect the brake while you score material. It has a 13-3/8″ throat, a 3/8″ x 13″ working pocket, dual base rails, aluminum castings, a slide locking bar, a non-marring vinyl strip and a stainless steel edge. It bends 3003-H14 aluminum up to .024″ thick and makes bends up to 130°.

The Trim-A-Brake II uses a traditional hinge and has no AccuTrack rails, so the TrimCutter, QuickScore, TrimFormer and Multi Gauge do not fit it; for those accessories and full hems, step up to a Mark I Series or Mark II TrimMaster. The T450 does accept the 3000 Steel Folding Legs, the UniLeg 1, the 3004 Wheel Kit and the CD24 Coil Dispenser.
