About this product
Painted steel sheet is flat stock for roofing and sheet metal contractors who need full 4′ x 10′ pieces: chimney and curb flashings, parapet caps, wall trim and small panel repairs laid out and cut on the bench instead of pulled off a coil.
Each sheet measures 48″ x 120″ and is listed in 22, 24, 26 and 29 gauge, the same gauges as the Steel Coil. Finish options on the order form are PVDF (Kynar 500), SMP, polyester, crinkle and Tedlar film. Our shop also offers cut-to-size work, so you can order finished blanks rather than full sheets.
The lower the gauge number, the thicker the steel. 22 and 24 gauge hold a straight line on long caps and wide flashings; 26 and 29 gauge are lighter and easier to hem with hand tools. A full 120″ length bends on brakes of 10’6″ and up, such as the Van Mark Metal Master 20 Contractor Brake in 10’6″ or 12’6″, while a Malco hand seamer handles small folds on site. Painted roofing steel is usually Galvalume, which U.S. Steel says to keep away from copper, lead, cement and treated lumber, and for buildings close to salt water compare it with Aluminum Sheet before you order.
Steel sheet is often ordered with Pan Clip Head Screws, Butyl Tape, Adseal or Geocell sealant and Sherwin-Williams Ready Match Touch Up for scratches and cut marks.
You can get it from our New Brunswick, NJ warehouse. Call (732) 561-4275 to check stock, or add it to your quote.

Questions
What size are the sheets?
48" x 120" (4' x 10'). If you need smaller blanks, ask about our cut-to-size service.
Which gauge should I pick for flashings?
Thicker 22 or 24 gauge stays straighter on long, wide pieces; 26 or 29 gauge is easier to fold by hand. Match the gauge used on the roof panels when you can.
Do you have touch-up paint?
Yes, Sherwin-Williams Ready Match Touch Up is in the catalog. Give us the color name of the sheet.
