Feeding long strips of coil through a motorized Trim-A-Slitter keeps both hands busy: one guiding the material in, the other handling it as it comes out. The HD Foot Pedal, Van Mark part 3508, puts the control under your foot. Van Mark lists it as an option that frees up an additional hand for handling metal going into and out of the slitter or perforator.

Van Mark’s catalog lists the pedal among its slitter power accessories, alongside the 3521 standard 115 V motor, the 3535 heavy-duty 115 V motor and the 3522 220/230 V motor kit, and gives its weight as 6 lb. It is an accessory for motorized setups; a manual Trim-A-Slitter runs from its hand crank. Van Mark offers the pedal as an option on the Trim-A-Slitter Perf Package, whose heavy-duty reversible motor otherwise runs from a toggle switch mounted on the motor.

Perforating is where the extra hand helps most, since perforated strips need steady guidance on both sides of the machine. Van Mark requires its heavy-duty motor kit for perforating steel, and the 5119 stripper keeps perforated material from winding on the rolls.
