The 8’6″ Industrial Metal Master 20 EZ (Van Mark model IM865) gives a roofing or sheet metal crew full industrial capacity in a length that still handles easily. It takes a full 8-foot piece with room to spare, so drip edge, rake trim, soffit panels and roof flashings come off the brake in one bend instead of two.

The point of this series is capacity plus reach. Van Mark rates it for 24 gauge Grade D painted steel, 20 gauge galvanized steel and .050″ 3003-H14 aluminum, and for 36 oz soft copper, .050″ soft zinc and 24 gauge 304L stainless as well. The 20″ throat means wide work such as valley pans and hip and ridge caps can be bent near the middle of the sheet.

On the job, the cam-lock clamps without re-adjusting when you change material, and the locking handle locks by pushing it away from you, so it stays out of the way of large pieces. The full-loop bending handle has several contact points on the hinge, so one person can make an even bend along the length. The POWERslot hinge sizes a 5/8″ hem automatically. The IM865 has five castings and weighs 227 lb, and it ships with the Master Stand EZ, a wheeled stand with a low, extended platform.
