The Metal Master 20 is Van Mark’s portable brake with a 20″ throat, and Van Mark lists the Pro-Grade for siding, window, door and trim work. This listing is the 2’0″ model (Van Mark MM260), a short brake with deep reach.

A two-foot brake with a 20″ throat is unusual and useful. It lets you bend short pieces that are wide, such as chimney saddle and cricket parts, wide window sill pans, column cap tops, wall-cap ends and kick-out flashing blanks, which a 14″ throat cannot reach the middle of. It weighs 52 lb, so it comes off the truck for one small job without fuss.

The Metal Master 20 carries Van Mark’s redesigned 60 Series castings, two on this length, with the cam-lock clamp and a Power Lock bar that clamps the whole bending edge to limit oil canning. The POWERslot hinge auto-measures a 5/8″ hem, and the brake bends to 180 degrees.

Van Mark rates the Pro-Grade for .027″ 3003-H14 aluminum, 29 gauge painted or galvanized steel, 24 oz soft copper, .032″ soft zinc and 29 gauge 304L stainless. Stands are sold separately, and 20″ throat brakes need the 20″ versions: the UniStand EZ-GO USA2EZ, the Unistand Adjustable USA2 or the UniLeg 2.
