The 230-volt heavy-duty power package is Van Mark’s heavy-duty slitter motor kit for 50 Hz service, model 3533. Van Mark lists it for all of its slitters and requires a heavy-duty motor like this one whenever you perforate steel, so it is the choice for 50 Hz installations that punch vented parts or slit painted steel in volume.

Specifications from Van Mark: 230 volts, single phase, 50 Hz, with a feed rate of about 35 feet per minute, faster than the roughly 26 feet per minute of the standard 230-volt kit. Coupling and mounting hardware are included, and installation replaces the hand crank with a drive coupler and motor base.

Power is the first thing to check. This kit is built for 50 Hz supply, which is common outside North America; US circuits are 60 Hz, where Van Mark specifies its 115-volt heavy-duty kit (3535). If you are unsure which to order, call us and we will confirm with Van Mark before the motor ships.

Heavy-duty perforating work usually calls for a few extras.
