About this product

The 12’6″ Metal Master 20 Pro-Grade (Van Mark model MM1260) is the longest Pro-Grade Metal Master. It pairs a 20″ throat with enough length to bend 12-foot fascia, rake, frieze and gable trims in one piece, so long runs go up without laps.

Van Mark gives this length dual bending and locking handles, so the sheet can be clamped and lifted from both ends for an even bend. Five 60 Series castings hold the material through the cam-lock clamp, and the Power Lock bar presses along the full edge to limit oil canning and warping. The POWERslot hinge auto-measures a 5/8″ hem and the brake bends up to 180 degrees.

Van Mark rates the Pro-Grade for .027″ 3003-H14 aluminum, 29 gauge painted or galvanized steel, 24 oz soft copper, .032″ soft zinc and 29 gauge 304L stainless. Those ratings suit residential trim coil; for 26 gauge steel or 14-foot pieces, look at the Metal Master 20 Heavy-Duty.

The MM1260 weighs 194 lb, so plan on two people to set it up. Stands are sold separately, and Van Mark requires its 20″ throat stands for this brake. Van Mark does not recommend folding legs or the UniLeg 2 for brakes over 12 feet, so choose a UniStand such as the UniStand EZ-GO USA2EZ. The Van Mark TrimCutter and CD24 Coil Dispenser round out the setup. It is available from our New Brunswick, NJ warehouse; call (732) 561-4275 to check stock, or add it to your quote.

Questions

Can I use the UniLeg 2 on this length?

Van Mark does not recommend folding legs or the UniLeg 2 for brakes over 12 feet. Use a 20" throat UniStand such as the USA2EZ.

Is there a 14'6" Metal Master 20?

Yes, but only in the Heavy-Duty grade (MM1461).
