Van Mark – Mark I Series Light Duty Brake 10’6″ (M10-S)

About this product

Ten-foot pieces are a common length for trim coil work, and the 10’6″ Mark I Series brake (Van Mark model M10-S) is built to bend them full length. It is Van Mark’s light-duty brake for siding, window, door and trim contractors, and it weighs 120 lb.

Typical uses are fascia and rake covers, frieze board wraps, soffit edge trim, garage door headers and long window head flashings. The 14″ throat handles the widths those pieces need, and the full-loop bending handle with foam grips lets one person make an even bend along ten feet.

The Mark I uses Van Mark’s cam-locking clamp, which this series introduced in 1983. Five castings, two per clamping station, hold the sheet, and dual base rails resist twisting during the bend. The traditional hinge auto-measures a 3/4″ hem, and the Power Lock bar allows bends to 180 degrees. Its AccuTrack rails accept the Van Mark TrimCutter, TrimFormer and Multi Gauge Angle Guide.

Van Mark rates it for .027″ aluminum (3003-H14), 29 gauge painted and galvanized steel, 24 oz soft copper, .032″ soft zinc and 29 gauge 304L stainless. Stands are sold separately: the UniStand EZ-GO, UniLeg 1 or the Steel Folding Legs for Mark I and Mark II all suit this brake, and the Van Mark Wheel Kit helps move it around the site.
