Van Mark – TrimCutter™

About this product

The TrimCutter turns a Van Mark brake into a cutting station. Clamp the material in the brake, set the TrimCutter on the brake’s AccuTrack rails, and pull it along the length: hardened knives slit the metal and leave a smooth, factory-like edge free of sharp points, with no rough edges to dress afterward.

The knives are case-hardened tool steel, rated to cut 24 gauge Grade D painted steel and .050″ (3003-H14) aluminum, and Van Mark designed them to stay sharp through thousands of feet of material. In short, they cut the same material the brake can bend. A low-profile handle directs your pulling force into the brake so the tool does not jump the track, and four independent tracking wheels keep it aligned and tight to the brake. Van Mark also points out that it means less wear on the brake than cutting with a utility knife.

Van Mark lists the TrimCutter for its current cam-locking brakes with AccuTrack: Mark I Series, Mark II TrimMaster and Heavy Duty, Metal Master 20 and Heavy Duty, Mark IV Industrial TrimMaster and Industrial Metal Master 20EZ. It is not compatible with the Trim-A-Brake II. For older brakes, call Van Mark at 800-826-6275 to check fit. Replacement fasteners are standard nuts and bolts.

Pair it with the Multi Gauge, which marks the 1-1/2″ TrimCutter cut-off point, a CD24 Coil Dispenser to feed coil, and Aluminum Coil or Steel Coil. Van Mark covers it with a 1-year limited warranty.
