Van Mark – Industrial Slitter Perf Combo 48"

This listing is a 48-inch Van Mark Trim-A-Slitter package with perforating capability, for roofing and metal building contractors who want to slit wide sheet and also punch vented parts. Van Mark builds its factory Perf Combo (SCI24HD) in a 24-inch length and its 48-inch combo as the Industrial Slitter Combo (SCI48), which takes an optional perforator die set. Because packages vary, call us to confirm exactly which slitter, motor and dies are in this one before you order.

What a 48-inch Van Mark slitter does: it slits coil or flat stock to width with clean, burr-free edges, using four double-sided hardened knives for two cuts per pass. Re-arranged, the knives also form stiffening ribs that add a shadow line to wide fascia. Van Mark’s 48-inch slitters use a 2″ arbor (C model), and its slitting capacity is .040″ 3003-H14 aluminum, 24 gauge galvanized or painted steel, 24 oz copper and .040″ zinc.

For perforating, Van Mark’s die sets make a lanced perforation with about 3.3 square inches of net free area per running foot. On the 48-inch Industrial Slitter Combo, perforating covers up to .032″ aluminum, copper and 24 to 29 gauge painted steel, and it requires the heavy-duty motor. Van Mark recommends two booster blocks under the arbors of its 48″ slitters.
