The WUKO Master 0420 is a compact roof panel machine from WUKO of Austria for roofers and sheet metal shops working in 1″ standing seam, single or double lock. It profiles the panel, can curve it on the same machine, and rolls around the shop on castors.
A hand wheel turning two spindles sets the working width anywhere from 11-5/8″ to 32″, for a finished panel of about 8-1/2″ to 28-3/4″, and the inlet guides adjust to correct the profile. Eight hardened forming stations shape the seam; the eighth also straightens the panel and can curve it convex or concave to a radius of about 20′. Polyurethane-coated drive rollers feed the metal, an electronic preset counter tracks length, and the machine handles short panels down to 20″ as well as tapered panels. A 120 V motor with a frequency converter gives stepless speed from 0 to 40 ft/min in forward or reverse, which helps when curving or profiling one side only. WUKO lists maximum thickness as 0.7 mm (.028″) galvanized steel, 0.8 mm (.031″) aluminum, copper or zinc, and 0.5 mm (.020″) stainless. The frame is a modular aluminum system under a polycarbonate cover with swing doors and a safety switch, on four castors, two of them swiveling with brakes. It measures 60.6″ long with guides, 51.6″ wide with handles and 41.3″ high, and weighs about 800 lb. A manual cross-cutter gives a clean, burr-free cut; the 0420S adds a lengthwise cutter.
