About this product
The WUKO Cutter 1070 is a compact, hand-operated cutter that roofers and sheet metal workers use for straight and slightly curved cuts in sheet, and for cutting lengths off a coil, in the shop or on the job. At about 2.8 lb, it lives in the toolbag for the cuts that are too long for snips but do not justify setting up a powered slitter.
WUKO rates it for 0.8 mm aluminum, copper and zinc, 0.7 mm galvanized steel and 0.5 mm stainless, with a minimum cutting radius of 450 mm (18″). It has an ergonomic handle and an extension rod that clips on and off quickly so you can reach across wider sheets, and WUKO has supplied it in a carrying case.
Compared with the WUKO Clipper 1020 and Clipper Cordless 1020 C2A, the Cutter 1070 has no motor and no floor roller assembly, handles slightly thinner metal, and is much lighter. If you cut tapered roof panels every day, the Clipper is faster; for occasional cuts and coil cut-offs, the Cutter is simpler to carry and use. For short cuts and notches, the Malco aviation snips and the Masc Nibbler in this catalog fill in.
It pairs naturally with Aluminum Coil, Copper Coil and Zinc Coil, and with the WUKO Scribe Plate for marking cut lines.
