About this product
The ESE Finish Hand Seamer 180 Degree is a double-lock hand seamer from ESE’s 099 series, used by standing seam roofers to make the final 180-degree fold of a double-lock seam. Roofers use it in hard-to-reach spots, at panel ends and around penetrations, to prepare a starting section for a power seamer, or to seam a whole small roof by hand.
A double-lock seam is closed in two steps. First the seam is single-locked to 90 degrees with the matching ESE 001-series seamer; then the 099 completes the fold to 180 degrees. ESE builds the seamers to avoid scratching or peeling the paint, keeps them light, and makes them in the USA. The 099 family comes in several sizes by seam top width: 1/2″ (099), 9/16″ or 5/8″ (099HD), 11/16″ (099-700), 3/4″ (099-750), 13/16″ (099-812, also in a stand-up version) and 7/8″ (099-875). Tell us your seam width so we supply the right one.
The ESE K9 Double Lock Power Seamer in this catalog runs the seam over long panels; its own instructions call for a hand-prepared start with the 001 and 099 seamers. For single-lock seams, the WUKO Lock’n’Roller is the faster tool, and the WUKO Double Welt Iron helps with hand folding at details.
