About this product
The StanGroup Standing Seam Curving Machine (SSCM) bends finished standing seam panels into a curve, for curved and arched roofs, architectural roofing and commercial buildings. Roofing contractors and panel makers use it to curve panels in house, on site or in the shop, instead of sending them out, and to get a consistent radius panel after panel.
It takes panels with a 1″ or 1.5″ mechanical seam, 8.5″ to 21″ wide, in 22 to 24 gauge prepainted steel, aluminum or copper, and curves them either convex or concave. In one pass, StanGroup gives a minimum radius of about 7 ft convex and 20 ft concave for aluminum, and about 10 ft convex and 23 ft concave for steel; the radius you can reach depends on the material and the panel. Working speed is up to 20 ft/min, adjustable through the VFD. The standard motor is 2 HP on 230 V, 60 Hz three-phase power, with a 120 V single-phase motor offered as an option. The machine measures 20″ x 24″ x 44″ and weighs about 320 lb, small enough to set up next to the roll former.
It suits panels from the Double Standing seam roof panel rollforming machine SS4E-15 (1″ and 1.5″) and the SS4E Junior (1″). To close seams on curved work by hand, the Wuko Seaming Iron For Curves is in the catalog. Panels made from Steel Coil, Aluminum Coil or Copper Coil all work within the listed gauges.
