About this product
The StanGroup Sheet metal perforation machine, sold as an AG panel perforator, punches rows of ventilation slots into metal. Panel makers and trim shops use it for perforated AG panels, vented soffit, siding, C-channel and flat stock, or wherever a construction detail calls for perforated metal.
It runs four sets of perforating dies, with profiled center dies that hold the strip so each line of slots stays straight, and a peeling device at the exit stops the material from sticking or tearing. The dies are made of hardened tool steel. Because the male rollers come apart, you can run one, two, three or all four rows, which helps on narrow strip such as thermal profiles. StanGroup rates it for 26 and 29 gauge Grade 50 and 80 steel at full width, and as heavy as 22 gauge when only one roller set is engaged; it works with GI, PPGI, aluminum, copper and stainless. Shafts are 3.35″ in diameter with bearings top and bottom. A 3 HP AC motor with a VFD sets the speed, up to 70 ft/min, and lets the machine run from a single-phase 230 V supply. StanGroup lists strip width up to 55″ and a footprint of about 68″ x 32″ x 53″.
Swap the dies for slitting rollers and it works as a gang slitter, much like the Industrial Gang Metal Slitter. Feed it from a coil stand such as the Manual Decoiler 51/8, with Steel Coil or Aluminum Coil in the gauge your panels use.

Can I perforate only one or two rows?
Yes. The male rollers come apart, so you can run one, two, three or four rows of slots.
Can it slit as well?
Yes. The perforating dies can be replaced with slitting rollers so the machine works as a gang slitter.
