About this product
This roof bracket gives roofers, gutter installers, solar crews and service techs a place to stand on a standing seam metal roof. It clamps onto a seam instead of being screwed through the panel, so you get secure footing on a slick, steep metal surface without leaving holes behind when the job is done.
A foothold bracket is used for staging and footing while you work: seaming, installing snow retention, replacing a panel or servicing equipment. It is not a fall-protection device and must not be used as an anchor for a harness. Use it together with a proper personal fall arrest system and follow OSHA rules for roof work. Before ordering, tell us your seam type and height so we can confirm the bracket fits; brackets of this kind are typically made for a particular range of seam profiles.
On standing seam roofs, many crews pair footing brackets with the non-penetrating AceClamp clamps in this catalog for snow retention, and carry the WUKO Lock’n’Roller and seaming pliers for repairs once they are up on the roof. Protect the finish under the bracket, and have Sherwin-Williams Ready Match Touch Up in the truck for any marks.
Ask us about quantities for a crew; most jobs use more than one bracket so you can leapfrog across the roof.

Questions
Can I tie off to it?
No. It is a foothold, not a fall-protection anchor. Use a separate, rated personal fall arrest system.
