The NTM 5VC-5V CRIMP Roof Panel Machine from New Tech Machinery forms 5V crimp panels, an exposed-fastener profile, at the job site or in the yard. It is NTM’s only exposed-fastener panel machine; the rest of its line makes standing seam and snap-lock panels. Contractors who sell 5V roofing can run panels to exact length instead of ordering them from a factory.
NTM offers three profiles, 5VC-210P, 5VC-240P and 5VC-245P, giving 21″ (533 mm) or 24″ (610 mm) finished widths from 24″, 27″ or 27-1/2″ coil. It forms painted steel, Galvalume and coated galvanized from 30 to 24 gauge, painted aluminum from .027″ to .040″, and 3/4 hard copper from 16 to 20 oz. Hydraulically driven polyurethane rollers pull the coil through hardened stainless forming rollers, and a hydraulic shear with tool steel blades cuts each panel, at about 60 ft/min. A limit switch sets length, and a panel-recognition proximity switch adds safety. Power comes from NTM’s Quick-Change Power-Pack, either a 16 HP Briggs and Stratton gas engine or an electric motor, such as 5 HP single-phase or 7.5 HP three-phase at 220 V. The base machine with roller set, power pack and rib rollers weighs about 2,200 lb and measures 10’5″ by 4’10-1/2″; on NTM’s trailer it comes to about 4,460 lb.
Coil up to 32″ OD fits the overhead reel rack, or 45″ on NTM’s free-standing decoiler. NTM backs the machine with a limited three-year parts warranty that includes NTM in-house labor. Feed it Steel Coil, Aluminum Coil or Copper Coil slit to the profile’s coil width.

No. 5V crimp is an exposed-fastener profile; NTM notes the 5VC is its only exposed-fastener panel machine.
