About this product

The StanGroup DC60M is a motorized decoiler for 5-foot coil, aimed at AG and R panel production, cut-to-length and shearing lines, slitting and other wide-coil work. Instead of the roll former dragging the coil around, the decoiler’s own motor turns it, which takes load off the downstream machine and keeps the feed even.

StanGroup lists capacity at 10,000 lb (4,535 kg) and 60″ (1,500 mm) wide, with a 19″ to 24″ coil ID. The arbor reel is supported at both ends, which keeps a heavy coil stable. A 2 HP motor drives it through a belt, with a VFD controller for speed adjustment, slow start and slow stop, plus forward and reverse. StanGroup lists 220 V three-phase and also describes the DC60M for single-phase supply. Operation is through simple VFD controls and a foot pedal. StanGroup’s published pay-off speed figures differ from one page to another, so tell us the line speed you need and we will confirm it with the maker.

For an unpowered stand at the same width, see the Manual Decoiler 60/8; for two coils on one powered frame, the 5′ Motorized Double Decoiler; and for extra-wide coil, the Motorized Decoiler DC115M with VFD controls. Full-width Steel Coil is the usual load, and the DC60M also suits feeding the Industrial metal tile forming machine when coil weights stay within its rating.
