About this product
The StanGroup Manual Decoiler DC115 is built for shops handling very wide coil. It holds the coil on a self-centering reel carried between two stands and lets the downstream machine pull material off with no motor involved.
StanGroup lists a maximum coil width of 102″ (2.59 m, or 8.5 ft), a maximum coil weight of 10,000 lb and a coil ID range of 16″ to 24.5″. The reel comes off the stands for loading: it is pushed into the coil, expanded with the hand wrench until it grips, then set back on the stands and locked with the brake fixture. A friction brake, a manual turn handle and an expanding crank are fitted. StanGroup’s safety note is that the stands must be bolted to the floor before use. The unit is long, about 132″ x 45″ x 49″, and weighs about 1,200 lb (545 kg), so treat it as a fixed shop installation rather than a portable stand, and plan the floor anchors and forklift access before delivery.
The older listing mentions an optional motorized conversion with belt drive, VFD controller and limit-switch activation. If you want powered pay-off from the start, the Motorized Decoiler DC115M with VFD controls takes coil up to 115″ wide. For narrower coil, see the Manual Decoiler 60/8 or the Manual Decoiler 51/8. Full-width Steel Coil and Aluminum Coil are the usual loads.

Questions
Why is it called DC115 if the width is 102"?
StanGroup's listing gives 102" as the maximum coil width for the manual DC115; the motorized DC115M is the model rated for 115". Confirm your coil width with us before ordering.
Does it need to be anchored?
Yes. StanGroup says the stands should be bolted down to the floor before operation.
