About this product
StanGroup’s Industrial and portable Downspout Machine family lets gutter contractors and sheet metal shops roll-form downspout from coil, either as a portable unit taken to the job or as a stationary machine in the shop. Each machine is built for one downspout size and configuration.
Rectangular sizes run from 4″ x 5″ and 4″ x 4″ down to 3″ x 4″, 3″ x 3″ and 2″ x 3″, plus 3″ and 4″ round, and StanGroup will quote custom sizes. Standard speed is 30 ft/min, with 45 or 60 ft/min available for aluminum. Material is aluminum from .019″ to .024″, 26 ga steel (grade 50 or grade A) or 16 oz copper. Urethane drive rollers above and below pull the strip evenly without twisting it, and the frame is built from 1″ x 5″ aluminum side blocks. It runs on 110 V or 220 V, with on/off and forward/reverse switches and an entrance jog button; semi-automated models stop at length on a limit switch. Rectangular pipe is cut with a hand-operated Quadra-shear that has a built-in crimper, round pipe with a cutoff saw, and pneumatic activation is optional. One 15″ ID spool is included.
The listing also covers a larger industrial line for 5.25″ x 3.5″ (133 x 90 mm) pipe from 17.75″ coil, with a top-mounted decoiler, Siemens PLC control, a post-forming shear and a run-out table, running 25 to 33 ft/min on .015″ to .024″ stock.
For elbows, pair it with the Electrical round and square downspout elbow machine or the 4×5 and Round & square elbow machine. The Industrial downspout machine is StanGroup’s PLC-controlled alternative. Aluminum Coil and Copper Coil slit to width keep it supplied.
