About this product
The StanGroup Gorelocker SGWT-1250 builds round duct fittings from gores, the short angled rings that make up an elbow. HVAC shops and makers of exhaust and downspout fittings use it to produce elbows, reducers, end caps and offsets in house.
The machine has two work stations that can run at the same time with two operators. At the first, a flanger/swager turns a flange on one end of a gore; switching the mode crank lowers the upper table, and the same station then swages the joining end of the next gore. At the opposite end, the lockseamer station closes the joint into a standing rib. StanGroup says the closed rib seam removes the need for paint, coating or sealant on the joint. Each station has its own inverter, so speed can be set from 0 to 200% of standard: slower for small diameters, faster for large ones.
StanGroup lists standing-rib diameters from 5″ up to roughly four feet and steel from 28 to 16.5 gauge (0.5 to 1.5 mm). Output depends on diameter and operator, from about 10 to 60 pieces an hour. Power is 2 x 3 HP on 210 to 240 V, 60 Hz, about 2.2 kW per station. There is no hydraulic unit, and the process makes no shavings, heat, sparks or water. It needs roughly 8.5 x 3 ft of floor space; the machine measures 100″ x 34″ x 37″ and weighs about 1,650 lb.
For the straight round duct between fittings, see the Industrial spiral tube former TF1500S. The Pittsburgh Lock Forming Machine forms the seam lock for round pipe, and Steel Sheet or Steel Coil supplies the gore stock.

Questions
Can two people work on it at once?
Yes. The flanger/swager station and the lockseamer station work independently, so two operators can run at the same time.
Does it need hydraulics or welding?
No. StanGroup lists no hydraulic station; the gores are joined with a rolled standing-rib seam.
What fittings can it make?
Round duct elbows, reducers, end caps and offsets, in steel from 28 to 16.5 gauge.
