About this product
The ESE Decoiler Standard is a coil stand made in the USA by ESE of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, for roofers and fabricators who feed coil into a portable panel machine, brake or shear. It holds the coil on an expanding core between two heads, so the material pays off evenly as the machine pulls it.
ESE gives it a 3,000 lb static load rating, a maximum coil width of 34″ and a maximum outside diameter of 38″. Its six-prong core opens from 15″ to 21″ to grip the inside of the coil, and a dual locking spider keeps the core centered on the shaft. Friction brakes stop the coil from spinning on after the machine stops. The frame is 46″ long with a 44″ shaft, 35.5″ wide and 27″ tall; the core sits 30″ off the floor, rising to 32.5″ when expanded. The decoiler weighs 162 lb, and the core alone accounts for 83 lb of that.
Within the ESE family, the ESE Mini Decoiler carries the same 3,000 lb on a shorter frame for coil up to 24″ wide, the ESE Decoiler Heavy Duty uses this frame with a 5,000 lb rating, and the ESE Extra Wide Decoiler accepts 48″ coil. ESE’s setup guide covers laying the coil on its side, inserting the core and lowering it into the frame. Set it up with Steel Coil, Aluminum Coil or Copper Coil slit to your panel width.
