About this product
The StanGroup Electrical round and square downspout elbow machine (model LEL) puts elbows on residential-size downspout. Gutter installers and sheet metal shops that roll their own pipe use it to make elbows in the same coil and color as their downspout instead of buying stock elbows, and it also handles small HVAC pipe.
The standard die set covers 2″ x 3″ and 3″ x 4″ rectangular pipe and 2″, 3″ and 4″ round. Capacity is .024″ aluminum or 26 ga steel, and StanGroup lists aluminum, copper, galvanized steel and prepainted galvanized (PPGI) as materials. A 75-degree elbow takes about 10 seconds, and StanGroup puts typical output at 2 to 6 pieces a minute depending on pipe size.
It runs on ordinary 110 V power, with a 1.5 HP motor turning a direct-drive double cam. It can cycle automatically or be run manually, the crimper is mounted at the front, and there is a reverse switch. The machine is compact at 35″ x 20″ and 24″ high, and weighs about 575 lb.
