About this product

The AceClamp A2Nw is a non-penetrating clamp for short-seam snap-lock and nail-down standing seam panels, the 3/4″ to 1″ seams common on residential metal roofs. Roofers and snow retention installers use it to fix snow bars and related hardware to the seam without drilling through the panel.

It shares the A2 family design: aircraft-quality aluminum, stainless-steel hardware, delivered fully assembled, and a push-pin closure with no set screws to scuff the finish. The A2Nw (part 5119-1) is about 1.25″ x 1.50″ x 1.79″ and tightens with a 9/16″ hex-head bolt. Torque it with a torque wrench to the value on AceClamp’s current torque chart for your panel and material, never with an impact gun. AceClamp does not recommend it on 29 gauge or thinner panels. The 3/8-16 tapped top hole takes snow bars and accessories, and AceClamp also lists the A2Nw for its Solar Kit or an L-Foot. Its published third-party tests show roughly 578 to 827 lbs parallel to the seam and 698 to 833 lbs perpendicular on the panels tested.

Compared with the A2N, the A2Nw is built for shorter seams (3/4″ to 1″ instead of 1.5″ to 1.75″) and has a shorter body. For single-lock or double-lock seams, use the A2; for bulb, T-panel and zip-rib seams, use the ML.

It is often ordered with the Snow Guard in this catalog.

You can get it from our New Brunswick, NJ warehouse. Call (732) 561-4275 to check stock, or add it to your quote.
