A2®N™ Non-Penetrating Metal Roof Clamp For Nail Down Panels

The AceClamp A2N is a non-penetrating seam clamp for nail-down (nail-base) and taller snap-lock standing seam panels, used by roofers and snow retention and solar installers to mount hardware on the seam without putting a hole in the roof. It is AceClamp’s larger version of the A2, made for seams in the 1.5″ to 1.75″ range.

Like the rest of the line, it is aircraft-quality aluminum with stainless-steel hardware, comes fully assembled and uses a push-pin closure instead of set screws, so tightening does not grind on the paint. The A2N (part 5056-N) measures about 1.25″ x 1.50″ x 2.27″ and tightens with a 9/16″ hex-head bolt to AceClamp’s torque values: 195 in-lbs on steel and 165 in-lbs on aluminum. The 3/8-16 tapped top hole is pre-drilled for color-strip or rail-type snow retention and takes one-, two- or three-hole brackets, and AceClamp also lists it for its Solar Kit or an L-Foot. In AceClamp’s published third-party testing, it held 1,200 lbs perpendicular to the seam on a 24 gauge Berridge Cee Lock panel.

Choose the A2 for single-lock, double-lock and standard snap-lock seams, the A2Nw for short 3/4″ to 1″ snap-lock seams, and the ML for bulb, T-panel and zip-rib profiles. AceClamp clamps are not fall-protection anchors.
