The StanGroup 5′ Motorized Double Decoiler (model CLDC60x2) is a powered coil stand with two reels, built for panel plants, slitting shops and roll forming lines that feed from full-width coil. Keeping a second coil mounted beside the one that is running shortens a color or gauge change, and the motor takes the pulling load off the machine downstream.
StanGroup rates it for coils up to 10,000 lb and 60″ (1,500 mm) wide, on a 16″ to 24″ inside diameter. One 2 HP motor on 220 V three-phase power turns the reels through a 1:40 gearbox and double V-belts, mounted on a swing tension device, and side guides keep the coil from walking sideways. Each reel is self-centering and expands inside the coil. A forward/stop/reverse switch handles basic control; a single- or three-phase VFD lets you match pay-off speed to your roll former, and a limit switch handles automatic feeding. The frame covers about 87″ x 87″ of floor, stands 70″ tall and weighs about 2,200 lb, so plan for forklift access when setting it and loading coils.
