About this product

This is Van Mark’s standard slitter motor kit for 230-volt, 50 Hz power, model 3522. Van Mark lists it for all of its slitters where 50 Hz service is required, which generally means installations outside North America or other sites with 50 Hz supply.

Like the 115-volt kit, it turns a hand-cranked Trim-A-Slitter into a powered one. The crank comes off, a drive coupler and motor base go on, and the slitter feeds by itself. The kit includes the coupling and mounting hardware. Van Mark rates it at 230 volts, single phase, 50 Hz, with a feed rate of about 26 feet per minute.

Before you order, check your power. Standard US circuits are 60 Hz, and Van Mark’s 115V kits are the ones specified for 60 Hz. If you are in the US and want to run a slitter on a 230-volt circuit, call us first so we can confirm the right motor with Van Mark.

This standard kit is for slitting and rib forming. To perforate steel, Van Mark requires a heavy-duty motor; its 50 Hz heavy-duty kit is the 3533, listed in our catalog as the Trim-A-Slitter Power Package 230 Volt HD Range. The kit fits every Van Mark slitter, including the B-model S24B and the 2″ arbor C models. It is available from our New Brunswick, NJ warehouse. To check stock, call (732) 561-4275 or add it to your quote.
