About this product

The StanGroup Square Duct Beading Machine for HVAC rolls reinforcing beads into wide sheet metal before it is formed into rectangular duct. Beads stiffen large flat panels, which is why duct shops bead the sides of bigger duct sections; the machine also serves general sheet metal work that calls for beaded sheet.

StanGroup’s current specification gives a working width of up to 51″ and a set of four pairs of beading rollers. Both the upper and lower shafts are 3.35″ in diameter and supported on bearings, which keeps them steady on heavy gauge sheet and on perforated stock. Capacity is listed as 18 to 28 gauge galvanized or stainless, varying with the number of beads being rolled. A 3 HP AC motor drives it on 210 to 240 V, 20 A, single- or three-phase power, with simple controls on the electric box and a foot pedal. The machine measures about 68″ x 32″ x 53″ and weighs about 1,800 lb.

Options include a VFD for adjustable speed, slitting rollers that let it cut sheet as well as bead it, and perforation rollers.

For the seams and joints on the same panels, see the Pittsburgh Lock Forming Machine, the Button Punch Snap Lock-former and the TDFC Lock & Cleats Former; the TDFC Air Brake folds flanged panels into duct. Steel Coil and Steel Sheet supply the stock. Tell us the bead pattern and gauge you run so we can confirm the roller set.

It is available from our New Brunswick, NJ warehouse; call (732) 561-4275 to check stock, or add it to your quote.
