About this product

The StanGroup Pneumatic TDFC Corner Fixing Machine finishes the flanged ends of rectangular duct built with a TDF or TDC integral flange. Once the flange has been roll-formed onto the duct, a corner piece has to be pushed into each end of the flange and crimped so it stays put. This machine does that with air pressure, so duct shops spend less labor on each joint than when they set corners by hand.

The operator positions the flanged duct end, places the corner and starts the cycle with the button or foot pedal; the machine inserts and crimps the corner in seconds, with no measuring or adjusting between pieces. One person runs it. StanGroup lists galvanized and stainless steel from 16 to 26 gauge. It needs 110 V single-phase power and compressed air at 70 to 100 psi, and it is controlled from a PLC screen and foot pedal. The machine measures about 68″ x 35″ x 35″ and weighs about 1,300 lb.

It is one step in a TDFC duct line. The TDFC Lock & Cleats Former rolls the flange onto the duct edge and forms the matching cleats, this machine installs the corners, and the TDFC Air Brake folds the flanged panels into duct. The Square Duct Beading Machine for HVAC stiffens wide panels, and Steel Coil or Steel Sheet supplies the duct stock. Shops that already roll their own TDC flange can add it to cut the hand work at the corners.

It is available from our New Brunswick, NJ warehouse; call (732) 561-4275 to check stock, or add it to your quote.
