About this product
Pan clip head screws, often called pancake-head screws, are the fasteners roofing contractors use to screw standing seam and snap-lock panel clips to the roof deck. The wide, very low head spreads the load over the clip base and sits almost flush, so the panel that slides over the clip does not ride up on a screw head and show a bump in the finish.
These are used for clips going into plywood or OSB sheathing. If you are fastening clips to steel decking or purlins, use the self-drilling Pan Clip SD MT Drilling Low screw instead, which cuts its own hole in metal. Screw length should reach through the deck as your panel maker’s installation guide specifies, and the number of screws per clip also comes from that guide and the wind design for the roof.
The same screws work with every clip in the catalog: Snaplock Clips, the Standing Seam Fixed Clip and the base of the Standing Seam Floating Clip. Drive them straight and snug, not overdriven, so the clip seats flat without distorting the base. A clutch-equipped driver makes that easy to repeat across a roof.
Add them to any clip order along with Tyvek Protec underlayment and Butyl Tape for end laps.
