The StanGroup Manual Decoiler SS4EDC pairs an expandable arbor with a free-standing stand, for roofers and small shops that feed a roof panel machine, gutter machine or other roll former from slit coil. It is the single-coil version of StanGroup’s SS4E decoilers.

StanGroup rates it for coils up to 3,000 lb (1,400 kg) and 26″ (670 mm) wide, on an 18″ to 24″ inside diameter. The arbor expands inside the coil with a threaded nut, which makes loading quicker than with a fixed spindle, and friction brakes on the stand control the pay-off. The stand goes at the entry end of the roll former, holding either the arbor with its coil or a decoiler reel with coil, and StanGroup notes it can also be mounted on SS4E-15 series roofing machines as an overhead reel holder. The arbor is also sold on its own, so a crew can keep a second coil mounted and ready for a fast change. The stand weighs about 280 lb. As with any reeled coil, use a forklift or approved lifting device to set the coil and arbor in the stand.
