About this product

The Malco M2007 is the right-cutting offset snip in Malco’s heavy-duty MAX2000 line, used by HVAC, roofing and sheet metal mechanics for sharp right angles, straight runs and circles down to about 5″ across. The green grips follow the usual right-cut color code, and the offset head keeps your hand above the sheet.

Malco rates it for .048″ (18 gauge) mild steel, .054″ (18 gauge) galvanized steel, .038″ (20 gauge) stainless, .062″ aluminum and .054″ copper. The upper jaw is serrated hardened alloy steel and the lower jaw is forged steel, with a 1-1/4″ length of cut. Compound handle-to-head leverage cuts the effort, the narrower grip opening suits large and small hands, and the pivot bolt can be adjusted and is held by a nylon lock nut. A thumb latch keeps it closed. Malco shows the M2007 with a Made in USA badge.

Its left-cutting twin is the MAX2000 M2006 (red). Despite the old listing title, this is not Malco’s MAX2000 Bulldog, which is the straight-cutting M2005. For lighter everyday work, the Malco AV6 (offset left) and AV3 (straight and both ways) are lighter snips.

Malco covers it under its Limited Lifetime Warranty.
