The Malco Economy Hand Riveter is a compact blind (pop) rivet tool for gutter installers, siding and trim crews and roofers who set rivets in flashing, end caps, downspout elbows and aluminum window work. It sets the rivet from the front side, so you can close a seam or join trim when you cannot reach behind it.
Malco supplies four nosepieces, 3/32″, 1/8″, 5/32″ and 3/16″, and they store in the handle so they do not get lost in the truck. For steel rivets Malco limits it to 3/32″ through 1/8″; it is not meant for 5/32″ or 3/16″ steel rivets. The body is steel with a black painted finish, the handles return on a spring and carry vinyl contour grips, and the slim nose reaches into channels and corners. It works with one hand, and a latch keeps it closed for a pocket or tool pouch.
This is the light-duty, everyday riveter: right for the occasional rivet on a gutter or trim job. If you set rivets all day or need to pull large steel rivets, step up to a heavier-duty tool.
