The StanGroup Industrial downspout machine roll-forms downspout from coil, so gutter contractors and sheet metal shops can make their own pipe to length instead of buying it in fixed pieces. Making downspout in-house means matching colors to the gutter coil you already stock and cutting each run to the exact length the building needs.
StanGroup describes its industrial downspout machines in 2″ x 3″, 3″ x 4″ and 4″ x 5″ rectangular and 3″ and 4″ round sizes, with each machine usually built for one size. Speeds run up to 60 ft/min. StanGroup lists aluminum from .019″ to .024″, galvanized steel up to 26 gauge and copper up to 16 oz. A pneumatic shear cuts the pipe and a Siemens PLC controls length, and the machines come in portable or stationary configurations.
