About this product
Lastobond Pro HT-N is a high-temperature, self-adhered roof underlayment from RESISTO, a SOPREMA brand. It is a 1 mm (40-mil) membrane of SBS-modified bitumen with a woven polyethylene top surface, and the sticky underside is protected by a silicone release film split in two, so you can position the sheet and peel one half at a time. RESISTO states it is ideal under metal roofing and that it seals itself around nails and screws.
The temperature rating is the reason to choose it under metal: it is rated for service from -49°F up to 194°F (90°C). The top surface is anti-slip for footing. RESISTO lists it both as an eave protector and as a roofing underlayment, on steep and low slopes, under metal roofing, asphalt shingles and SBS membranes, over plywood, OSB, asphaltic panels or gypsum.
- Roll: 36″ x 65.6′ (0.91 m x 20 m), about 195 sq ft gross and 178.8 sq ft net.
- Installation: clean, dry deck; minimum application temperature 41°F; press down with a smoothing roller.
- Exposure: cover it within 90 days.
RESISTO advises against applying bitumen products directly on softwood boards or flexible PVC. Store rolls upright, out of the weather and sun, and bring frozen rolls back to at least 50°F before installing. For the rest of the deck, pair it with Resistor SF or Tyvek Protec 120 synthetic underlayment, and use Butyl Tape and Geocel sealants at the metal laps and flashings.
