About this product
The ESE Mini Decoiler is the compact member of ESE’s decoiler line, sized for narrower coil up to 24″ wide. Crews feeding smaller panel machines, brakes or trim equipment get the same expanding core and friction brakes as the larger ESE stands, on a shorter, lighter frame that is easier to move between jobs.
ESE, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, rates the Mini for 3,000 lb static load and coil up to 38″ outside diameter. The six-prong core expands from 15″ to 21″ to lock into the coil, and the Mini uses a single locking spider, where the Standard, Heavy Duty and Extra Wide models use a dual one. Friction brakes control the coil when the machine stops pulling. The frame is 36″ long with a 34″ shaft, 35.5″ wide and 27″ high, with the core centerline at 30″ (32.5″ expanded). It weighs 140 lb, 66 lb of which is the core. ESE’s setup guide shows the core going into the coil while the coil lies on its side, then the core being lowered into the frame heads before the brake arms close.
When your coil is wider than 24″, step up to the ESE Decoiler Standard for 34″ at the same 3,000 lb, or the ESE Extra Wide Decoiler for 48″. Pair the Mini with Aluminum Coil, Steel Coil or Copper Coil slit to width.

Questions
Why choose the Mini over the Standard?
The Mini has a shorter 36" frame and weighs 140 lb versus 162 lb, but takes coil only up to 24" wide; both carry 3,000 lb static load.
Does it lock the core?
Yes, with a single locking spider system; the larger ESE decoilers use a dual locking spider.
