About this product
The StanGroup SS4E-15 is a portable roll former for roofers who want to run double-lock (mechanically seamed) standing seam panels at the job or in a small shop. It forms 1″ or 1.5″ seam profiles, and the panel width is set with a crank handle, so one machine covers several layouts without changing the frame.
StanGroup lists it at about 5’4″ long, 3’5″ wide and 1’9″ high, weighing about 1,000 lb, which keeps it small enough to move between jobs. It runs coil from 15″ to 28″ wide at about 30 ft/min: painted, galvanized or aluminized steel from 30 to 24 gauge, aluminum from .019″ to .032″, and 3/4 hard copper from 16 to 20 oz. A 1.5 HP electric motor powers the drive, which uses polyurethane rollers working with steel lower forming rollers, and the chrome-plated forming rollers sit in a welded tubular frame. Standard equipment includes a wireless remote, a limit switch for length, a clip relief roller set and a double bead roller set; the cutoff is a manual slitter at the entrance end.
