Adseal 600ml Sausage

About this product

This is the same Adfast ADSEAL DWS 4580 neutral-cure silicone as the 304 ml tube, packed in a 600 ml sausage. The larger pack holds roughly twice the sealant of a standard cartridge, which means fewer reloads on long perimeter joints, siding runs and production work in the shop. Sausage packs load into a barrel-style sausage gun rather than a standard cartridge frame, and Adfast states the sealant can be dispensed with manual, electric or pneumatic applicators.

Once tooled, it cures to a flexible silicone rubber using moisture in the air. Adfast rates the colored versions to ASTM C920 Type S, Grade NS, Class 50 (the translucent 4581 is excluded), Use NT, M, G, A, O, and to AAMA 802 and 805, with 50% movement capability. It bonds to glass, most woods, clean metals, fiberglass, ceramics, masonry, many painted finishes and some plastics; test adhesion first, and prime where needed.

Plan joints the way Adfast describes: at least 1/4″ x 1/4″, about twice as wide as deep, never more than 1/2″ deep, with a backer rod in movement joints. Tool the bead before it skins, which takes about 25 to 30 minutes. It can be applied down to -20°F on dry, frost-free surfaces, and it cannot be painted. Adfast does not intend it for traffic joints, permanently submerged joints or joints sealed off from the air.
