For 12-foot rake, eave and ridge pieces in steel, the 12’6″ Metal Master 20 Heavy-Duty (Van Mark model MM1261) bends the full length with a 20″ throat. It suits residential metal roofers and exterior contractors who want long, wide trims without laps.

Long, stiff pieces need even clamping and lifting. Van Mark equips this model with dual bending and dual locking handles and six 60 Series castings, and the Power Lock bar presses along the entire bending edge to limit oil canning in painted steel. The cam-lock clamp, an aluminum cam acting on a UHMW polyethylene wedge, holds without re-adjusting when you change from aluminum to steel. The POWERslot hinge auto-measures a 5/8″ hem.

Van Mark rates the Heavy-Duty for 26 gauge Grade D painted steel, 26 gauge galvanized, .032″ 3003-H14 aluminum, 32 oz soft copper, .040″ soft zinc and 26 gauge 304L stainless. The 20″ throat handles wide valley and cap profiles as well as deep fascia wraps.

The MM1261 weighs 210 lb, so set it up with two people. Stands are sold separately, and a 20″ throat UniStand, such as the UniStand EZ-GO USA2EZ, is the right support: Van Mark does not recommend folding legs or the UniLeg 2 for brakes over 12 feet.
