About this product
The StanGroup Industrial metal tile forming machine is a production line, not a jobsite tool. It turns prepainted galvanized steel (PPGI) coil into metal roof tile sheets, panels with a stepped, wave-shaped face that imitate clay or concrete tile. It suits building-product manufacturers and larger fabricators setting up in-plant production.
The line works in stages. Coil pays off a decoiler; StanGroup recommends a motorized one, because coils that are not perfectly round can feed unevenly and upset the accuracy of punching and cutting. A feeding device leads the strip into the roll forming section, which forms the corrugated wave. A hydraulic press then stamps the tile step, a hydraulic cutter separates each sheet with straight or 3D-style blades, and a run-out table collects the finished sheets. A Panasonic PLC coordinates the whole sequence. StanGroup gives a material range of 22 to 28 gauge (0.4 to 0.8 mm), forming speed up to 5 m/min, a 5.5 kW main motor and 7.5 kW of hydraulic power, and an assembled size of about 18 m long, 1.7 m wide and 1.5 m high. Profile, production speed and components are chosen per order, which is why the final specification is set when you order.
